Thanks for stopping by my blog. I used to work as Admin Assistant were I had to do everything from Office Management to Social Events to HR…very stressful. I wish your blog was around at that time. Now I’m going to work the reception desk in a dentist office…I’m looking forward to a change.
I will be back to visit you.
Hi Jodith,
As a blogger who’s been at it for nearly a year, I am now on a mission to find new bloggers to showcase on my blog as a way of “paying it forward”.
I happened on your blog, via Problogger, and have chosen you as my “New Blog Of The Week” (NBOTW). I will be writing a post introducing you to my community of readers/bloggers on 3/4/08. Your name will stay on my blog under the “NBOTW” section (top of sidebar), for a period of one week.
Some of my loyal commenters will come and visit you, and if time permits, it will be to your benefit to check out their blogs as well. I have a very nice group of loyal commenters and we all enjoy visiting each other and providing words of encouragement.
There are no strings attached. I have empathy for new bloggers and know how it is when you feel like you’re talking to that empty hole called cypberspace.
Great luck with your blog. It holds lots of valuable information, not just for Administrative Assistants, but for anyone in the work world.
I hope to see you over at Blogging Without A Blog. In the meantime, I will be be subscribing to your RSS feed so I can follow your progress.
See you in blogosphere.
Thank you so much for the link! I will definitely be visiting Blogging Without a Blog. I appreciate your help in getting the word out about my little corner of the blogosphere, here.
Jodith
Jodith,
I’ve had a good read through your blog (thanks to Barbara) and love the site.
As someone I suppose who is now a boss, I’ve actually done a number of the jobs and tasks you list. I started pushing a mail-trolley around an export office, taking reception and phone calls, and using a telex machine!
There is some fantastic knowledge in here and it’s shaping up to be an excellent blog.
If I was hiring, if someone told me they’d read your blog and could practice what you have preached, they’d get the job!
I will subscribe.
I don’t know possible this is, but I’d recommend having a section somewhere where you can email a friend.
I actually though of a few people I’d like to tell about this and a facility to email a post to a friend would be handy.
Your content lends itself to sharing, and long-temr it will pay off to have such a facility.
I have someone who did that for me, and I’m working on similar features on another blog. I bet Barbara or someone who knows the blog platform you use will have a widget that can make this possible.
Thanks so much for your kind comments, Ian! I’ve seen things like “e-mail a friend” on other blogs, but hadn’t thought of adding it. I will put it on my to do list. I’m hoping to get a bunch of updates done to the site this weekend, and I’ll work on that one as well.
Thanks again for your comments and your suggestions!
Nice blog. It looks like you have a lot to offer people. Keep it up!

I’m just happy things have calmed down enough for me to take up blogging again. Between work, a wedding, and an injured dachshund, my time hasn’t been my own the last couple of months.
thanks for dropping by and leave brilliant comment at my blog (bonoriau). I’m really appreciate all the good comments. This will really improve my blogging.
Just wanted to stop by and say hello. Have you ever thought about going out on your own as a virtual assistant? Since you’ve visited my blog you know I’m big on the freedom of self-employment!
Hi, Tom! Thanks for stopping by.
Actually, I have thought about going out on my own, but I’m the kind of person who likes the security of a regular pay check and health insurance. So, until we get nationalized health insurance, I’ll have to stay a clock puncher.
Hi Jodith,
I’ve been doing some additional research on the author, Chris Flett, that I talked about on the e-mail that I sent to you last week. His company is “GhostCEO” (www.GhostCEO.com) and his book is a bestseller. I found it on Amazon here. Anyway, he was in the NY Times last Sunday under the “Career Couch” and he makes reference to women’s blogs like yours so I thought you might like to connect. I’d like to see you interview him and see what he’s all about. I saw on another blog he was a guest blogger. His email is: chris@ghostceo.com
Best wishes,
Bihter.
