Free eCookbook and Unicef Donation

By | Dec 1, 2009

I try to keep my blog here on-topic.  But occasionally I see something that touches my heart and want to share it with everyone I know.  Today is one of those days, so please forgive me for going a bit off topic here.

I was reading my usual round of blog’s this morning, and someone gave a link to Patricia’s Wisdom.  It seems that Patricia usually gives a donation to Unicef around this time every year, but this year with the economy the way it is, she couldn’t afford it.  Being the creative person she is, though, she came up with a great idea.  She invited her readers to send in harvest recipes and she compiled them into an eCookbook.  The cookbook is completely free, but she asks those who can to give a donation to Unicef.

Well, it seems Patricia has picked up a corporate sponsor.  She said in the comments on a blog we both read:

I was offered matching funds for my eBook recipe book today (11/30/09) – if I can get 1000 people to open the eBook this week the company will give $1000 to UNICEF….so far the book has only had 137 opens…I am hoping I make it

So, even if you can’t afford to give a donation, at least go download her eCookbook for free.  If we can get enough people involved, it means a nice donation for Unicef.  Just click on the link below.

Of course, if you are one of those in good shape in this terrible economy and can afford to make a donation, please help.
